My Lack Table - Optimized for the Prusa Enclosure
As we all know, 90% of all 3D-printed parts are accessories for 3D printers. Who am I to break the rules, so my first prints mainly were Accessories - both for the Prusa Enclosure and the Lack table it is standing on. And because we people like to brag about our achievement, I obviously had to create this post.
So, I bought one of these cheap Lack tables that many build their enclosures with and I added some parts: Brackets, to make the feet more stable. A little drawer for things like a scraper, the magical Allen key and my box of nozzles. And a cool slide-out-thingie to hold steel sheets that are not in use. All of these things can be found in a collection I made on Printables: https://www.printables.com/@Zappes_1061978/collections/925500
Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
The underside of the table after mounting the drawer and sheet holder. The brackets on the legs are also visible here.
The drawer. It is a nice bonus that the light from the status LED strip in the LCD shines on that handle so that its more visible than before.
The side with the sheet holder. You have to look hard to spot ist, which was the intention here.
Back side of the enclosure with the mounted power strip.
Two quite essential parts were not printed, but bought. The power strip is a Brennenstuhl Premium Alu model which already included the mounts I used for attaching it to the table. And I attached a set of rubber/felt pads to the feet of the table - those are utterly incredible as they prevent the table from slipping, mitigate quite some unevenness in the floor and reduce vibrations all at the same time. I highly recommend these things, really.
I have to admit that I really love the setup. I'll have to optimize cable management at some point, but apart from that I wouldn't trade this cheap thing for anything else. 🙂
RE: My Lack Table - Optimized for the Prusa Enclosure
Not to detract from the work that you have done but can you share the details for the round airtight containers that are shown in your pictures? Can you fit your spools in them? Brand, model, part number and possibly where you purchased them?
