Depend son what you want to use it for?

Is it for creating time lapses, or just remote viewing? If its the latter, it can be any camera since it doesn't need to interface with the printer at all. I've use a Ring indoor cam perfectly well in the past!

ESP32-CAM - dirt cheap and does the job

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006074477423.html

or plenty on ebay if you want it quicker. You will need either a ESP32-WROOM-32U (included above) or a FT232RL to program it, how to do that:

You will need to print a case, lots on printables, but you end up with a working camera for under a fiver

Well, I do like my Beagle Cam V2 - but I do have to admit that I didn't care too much about cost effectiveness. The alternatives mentioned above will work just as well for simple monitoring, and they'll cost significantly less.

The Beagle would be the most interesting if you plan to monitor your prints from anywhere in the world, as it offers a cloud connection and a matching app that's not too bad. If the cloud aspect doesn't interest you or even makes you uncomfortable, there's no good reason for getting the Beagle.

It is a bit grainy but usable to see how things are going, but it is never going to be as good as a dedicated camera with night mode.

But with the money you save you can buy a light 😉

RE: Best CAM for MK4 ?

I've been using a Blink Mini-cam (hint: Amazon IoT product) mounted in the enclosure. In daylight and even at dusk, I don't need to turn my enclosure LED light fixture to get satisfactory images. The only issue is watching the interior temperature of the enclosure, since the mini-cam is rated only to 35C. Printing with PETG over a long stretch can bring the interior into that range, but if I open the right-hand door, it isn't an issue so far.
