RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4

After exchanging some emails with mintion I have the feeling that they are looking for the app to show the data of the prints that are not started from the beagleprint app itself.

RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4

sorry for this rant, but i cant believe my eyes!

Did no one from Prusa developers think that a lot of users of prusa printers and beagle camera's would like to make the upgrade to the MK4? The camera worked flawlessly with my MK3s+ and now im dealing with sh!t like Prusa Link and Prusa Connect that would not connect randomly, and no way to monitor prints also.

Take a guess what a useless brick is standing in the corner and wat is my workhorse back again?

RE:

I can't get the timelapse recording to work.

Beaglecam V2, firmware 1.2.6, the latest.     MK4 Firmware 6.0RC1

Camera connects to wifi no problem.  Connects to printer no problem.

SD card installed and shows no files.

File uploaded to the Beagleprint app in Chrome web browser and run from Beagleprint.

Temp, layer height and layers are shown.    No errors shown.

Have it set for CLEAN timelapse, but other timelapse settings don't seem to work either.

It doesn't move to a home position between layers to take a picture.     The print itself is fine.

Prusa Slicer is outputting Marlin 2, that should not be a problem should it?

Print time left is wrong,  Total layers shown 93/66 is wrong.   Is it misreading the layers?

Any Ideas?  Is 1.2.6 broken?

Hello,

On the Mk3, when you started a print from the printer itself, did the beaglepint app show the data?

Mintion said go back to 1.2.5,    Timelapse is working 1.2.5.  So the answer for the MK4, 6.oRC1   1.2.6 timelapse is broken.

Hello,

On the Mk3, when you started a print from the printer itself, did the beaglepint app show the data?

No, then i it will not show it, but for me is that no problem, because i use de beagle 100% of the time.

It works for me the best way in the workflow of designing, slicing, saving g-code in the cloud. Then in the app loading it in and starting the prints.

That easy it was, and is back again.

Im not into buying that asian labcrap, but almost starting to understanding why others do!

Sorry, but I can't understand what doesn't work in mk4 compared to mk3.

The Beagle will connect to the Prusa, and i can move the axis in the app, only cant load the g-codes in it. The map will stay empty. It will look like its loading, but when its done, then there will be nothing.

If i'm starting a print like normal, from the usb, then i can see tempertures in the app, but can't control the print, like aborting isn't an option.

I also can get random blue screens and failed prints. doesn't matter witch file, or the same file at random stages.

Beagle firmware Beagle_1.2.5

You absolutely need the FW 6.0.0 (currently in beta) to get rid of the crashes. That's a known problem of the 5.1.x series.

Beagle V2 1.2.5    I cannot get "timer  time lapse" to work.    It only records when connected to the printer and  running in "Octoprint" mode.    It was advertised to do video capture without being connected to the printer, which is what I wanted.      Customer support has not been helpful with this issue.

Hi,

check in camera setting option Normal Record & Audio if you have turn on, make turn off and then try record video using timer time laps.

I’ve read all this, an no…

In my opinion that shouldn’t be that hard. Just capture the feed.
the phone camera implementation is already there, and that uses a feed that is sent by a local IP address, so is a question of the beagle camera company to tell prusa where that pure feed is.
that’s it

that or someone finds it first

Something is already happening here that looks very promising:

Please update the APP to 1.5.0 (There is a problem in displaying printing information in version 1.4.0 app.)

In addition, the camera firmware version 1.2.6 has a bug in timelapse video (clean timelapse video cannot be generated normally). We will soon release a new version of firmware to fix this problem. Currently you can use other timelapse modes or downgrade the camera firmware to 1.2.5 to use it.

In timer timelapse mode, you need to click the "circle button" on the APP screen for 3 seconds (the circle turns red) before the camera will start recording timelapse video. If you want to cancel video recording, you also need to press the "circle button" for three seconds. For specific steps, you can refer to this article: https://www.mintion.net/blogs/3d-printer-camera-guidelines/how-to-setup-the-timer-time-lapse-video

RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4

FYI

Printer may fault, BSOD at power up, when  Beagle V2 is plugged into the MK4/buddy board, but does not have the power plugged in for the camera.  MK4 FW 6.0.0.    Using the reset button on the printer usually causes it to reboot successfully.   I turned it in on github to see if they could do anything with boot timing to avoid it.   I don't always want the camera on.  The fix is easy, have it powered or unplug it from the buddy board connection at printer power up.

RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4

Is it possible to implement a button in the app that manually starts the time-lapse, without having to send the bgcode through the app? @fengyulee
