Raspberry Pi ribbon cable pass-through?
Hi there!
I’ve just received my Original Prusa Enclosure. I’ve yet to assemble it (it’s at the office, I’ll be there early next week) but in advance of that I was curious - for those of you who mounted a Rasbperry Pi 4 to the case (externally) with a raspberry pi camera on the inside - how are you passing the ribbon cable through?
I’ve noticed what appear to be venting around the tops of the clear panels, but my camera will be down low near the base of the printer most likely…is there any way to pass the cable through without drilling anything into the enclosure?
Thanks!
RE: Raspberry Pi ribbon cable pass-through?
It depends on the mount point for your Raspberry Pi. You can try to pass it through the openings in the bottom plate for the cable of the aux PSU. I mounted the Pi beneath the top left corner on the back and my camera mount is on the left hand side near the front and this proved too short for a one meter cable to pass through the bottom. So I just slid it between the back panel sheet and the frame between two rivets. This way there is no tension on the ribbon cable.

Excellent, that’s very useful information. Thanks!
