Prusa XL Enclosure + top-down or direct feed of soft/abrasive filaments?

I'm curious if anyone has drilled through the top of their enclosure to rig up some sort of overhead spool holder/feeder system.

I have the official XL enclosure but have been experiencing a lot of trouble with under-extrusion of some rough-textured glow in the dark filament because it binds on the PTFE tube. Before I added the enclosure, I could easily bypass the PTFE tube and feed filament in from the top of the machine, but now I would have to unscrew/unplug/remove the enclosure which is quite a hassle. Overhead access / direct-feed is also needed for extra-soft flexible filaments that can stretch if there is too much friction with the PTFE.

I've considered doing something like Repkord did with https://www.printables.com/model/989597-6mm-ptfe-tube-mod-for-prusa-xl but that won't help much with extra-soft filaments that will still tug against the insides of the PTFE going around corners, and likely still require disconnecting the ends of the PTFE for feeding.

So I'm back to "drill holes in the top and attach a spool hanger" and looking for inspiration/ideas from what others have done.

P.S. Prusa mods: you might want to update the forum description here to reference the new official XL enclosure (or add a new forum for it?).

Until I can put in the time to come up with a solution that allows for overhead feeding while the enclosure is fully closed, I've created the following model that allows you to hang spools off the front of the enclosure with the door open: https://www.printables.com/model/1043893-external-spool-holder-for-prusa-xl-enclosure
