Writing small text
Is there any way to get the print head to literally follow a line?
I want to get some small text onto a print. One can obviously model it and get Slicer to create it that way. But there is a limit to how small you can go. It occurred to me that a way to get the smallest text possible would be to get the print head to actually 'write' it.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?

You are going to be limited by the size of your nozzle. It is difficult to print any feature smaller than the nozzle, so things like the top in a capital A and corners in general will suffer and tend to look mushy.

Hi Ben,
reduce your Extrusion width for external extrusions, to say 0.42mm with a o.4mm nozzle (default 0.45)

Something else to consider is that the new Arachnid engine in Slicer 2.5.0 will help with Text.
There is a good video her which talks specifically about text in the new version

Tom lost a bunch of credibility with me after watching that video. I couldn't disagree more, and I have yet to see an example that will make me think this. In fact the (Arachne) perimeter generation has no business being the default generator in slicer, It's use should be that of a tool used only in certain situations. I would accuse Tom of needing content to promote a sponsor, despite some of the fine work he's done in the past.
