Why do some Fusion360 models show up at 10% or 1% of the desired dimensions?

I've had this happen several times.  It can't be that so many modelers are stupid.

I must be the stupid one.  Anyone else experience this and how are you solving it?

Nevermind, I found out.  It seems STL files don't have dimensions in them so whatever unit your Fusion 360 model is in (the base I started with was in inches) is blindly converted to millimeters 1:1.  So you need to put a scaling factor onto the object in Slicer.

1 inch = 25.4 mm so I need to scale appropriately

It will be changed in the coming version of PrusaSlicer version 2.3.0, here there is an option to right-click the model and "Convert from imperial unit" to scale the model to millimeters.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉
