Where did hollowing in Prusa go?

Hey,

I use Chitubox to hollow my models. I read a post about doing it in Prusa and found this - https://help.prusa3d.com/article/hollowing_117285

It says you need 2.2 or newer, but I have 2.5 and I am not seeing it. Am I missing something?

Hollowing is a function of resin printing, Prusa Slicer only has that option for the SL1 resin printers.  It is not available for fdm.

Oh I see.

I like hollowing them to save a lot on time and filament. Other than a loss to strength why would hollowing not be ok to do in FDM? I am just printing large models to paint.

Because hollowing isn't needed for fdm.  FDM already prints a shell and if you wanted a completely hollow item then you turn the infill off.  Of course with no infill some geometry might not print but the same problem exists when you hollow a model.

If you still want hollowing for FDM, first use SL1 as printer profile and export (File - Export - Export plate as stl)

Having problems with bed adhesion every morning...

Can we export it to obj as well from Sl1 as printer profile?
