When Retraction Length is set to 0mm, the greyed out Lift Z still works?
I have Retraction Length set to 0mm in Printer Settings. It greys out the rest of the settings, even though Lift Z has 0.3mm. I assumed this meant that Lift Z would be disabled, since it is greyed out?
I then set the Filament Settings > Filament Override > Retraction Length to 0.8mm. Lift Z is greyed out with N/A.
When I print, I am still getting a Lift Z of 0.3mm
Is this normal behavior?
RE:
Not sure what you're trying to accomplish but this sounds like normal behavior. If you want to override the retraction length and/or lift Z you can do this in the filament settings->filament overrides section, which takes precedence over the printer settings (so no need to futz around with the printer settings)

RE: When Retraction Length is set to 0mm, the greyed out Lift Z still works?
Just wondering why if the Printer Settings > Extruder 1 > Retraction Lift Z is greyed out and is not set anywhere else, why it would still do a Lift Z. Then one would assume all the other settings that are greyed out, still execute during the print? The screenshots below show what I am referring to. Lift Z is greyed out, but has 0.3mm set. Even though it is greyed out, it still executes a Lift Z of 0.3mm. If it is normal behavior, it is a strange one lol.
