What just happened to my self-made brim? .....very strange....bug?

I have made this print with PETG many times successfully with the self made brim.  I switched the profile to Prusament PLA and printed, and this was the result.   What just happened?....self made brim is missing but first layer was successful.  Very strange.  I made the brim myself because I didn't want it in the interior of the model.   3MF and gcode files attached.

(Note: I took the print off the plate, then put it back for the picture just to show what it looked like because I noticed something was off when I saw the little angel hairs.)

yes...there is a link right after the picture...it says "files"

Also, I just started another print...different file, no brim...also changed from PETG to PLA and I noticed the first layer was also super thin, but skirt around was normal......

Sorry, didn't spot that link off to the side of the picture, my apologies.

Looking at your file you do realise that your self made brim is actually laying down plastic twice in areas where it overlaps ?  That's what happens when you place 2 objects in to the same physical space.  Prusa Slicer does NOT check for overlapping objects.  If you merged your brim object into the other main object then the object clipping would take care of that.  Unfortunately it would also take out the perimeters you probably want too.  So that's not really what you need.

The printing 2x plastic in to the space space is pretty much the same as a nozzle clog as the plastic has no where to go and will create a lot of back pressure.

Try this modified version of your project.  No overlapping plastic.

Edit - also if your first layer is marking your pei sticker surface like that then you have the nozzle too close anyway.  You need to back off the live z slightly.

Thanks for the new file!

I'm a dumb dumb.   Printer was set to Texture Sheet, and it was using smooth.  Your comment about it being too close reminded me to check that.  Thank you.

I wish the sheets had embedded RFID with reader in Printer so that it automatically knew which sheet was being used.
