Weird extrusion after M600 command

I set up a second extruder in PS to use with my single extruder printer (no MMU that is).

The g-code generated contains five M600 commands (when searching the file), the 3rd and 4th are followed by:
G1 E4.00000 F1500.00000
With no previous retraction thus leaving a giant blob.

I've looked to the best of my knowledge through the settings in PS but can't figure out if I'm doing anything wrong.

So far I only have two workarounds, edit the g-code or print a skirt that is as high as the print itself so the blob gets squirted there.

PS.3mf

I'm not familiar with your setup as if I wanted to do a name plaque like that I would use Joans method.  However from looking at it with the 2 extruders setup when an extruder gets disabled there is a 4mm retraction configured (under Printer Settings).  If Slicer thinks the extruder was previously retracted 4mm then it kind of makes sense that it would extrude 4mm to prime the nozzle first.  Its the only value I can see that matches a 4mm length and if I edit that value to be 5.5mm then I can see extrusion commands for G1 E5.5 after some of the M600 commands instead of for 4mm

M600
T1
M900 K45 ; Filament gcode
G1 X119.345 Y61.295 F10800.000
G1 E5.50000 F1500.00000

As the Tx commands are for toolchange I think thats whats happening.  It thinks theres 2 extruders T0 and T1.  Best guess anyway 🙂

Just confirming that all is well now after a successful print. There is one of these settings for each extruder you have if it can help anyone else in the future.

I like Prusa slicer more and more each day, the simplicity is outstanding (even though I missed that setting 😉 ) combined with a lot of advanced features.
