Void in Slice in first layer over support (PLA on PETG Support)
Hello together,
today we found some weird behaviour in a sliced model, maybe you can help me direct to the correct settings or tell me if we found a bug 😀
We sliced a model, that is a PLA Part sitting on PETG supports (XL 2Tool printer, Prusaslicer 2.9.0).
In the first layer on top of the supports, Prusaslicer does its very own infill pattern (found no place to change those settings, even in expert mode).
And by doing so, it chooses concentric which
- causes holes in all the small corners and
- somehow leaves a void place in the center of the long part?!
I added images. Maybe you can help me where to change the infill settings for the first layer on supports.. (Bottom layer is set to monotonic)
Thanks!
Best,
Max

Concentric infill often leaves those voids. Not come across this particular one. Pure guess but I'd check if you have Extra Perimeters on overhangs enabled.
As for if there's a way around it, well without your project files its going to be next to impossible to debug it, without anything will be a pure guessing game.
To save a PS project use File>Save Project As. That will save a .3mf file. The PS 3mf file contains the objects but more importantly it contains the 3 profiles you are using as well as placement, modifiers, painting etc. Its a snapshot and allows anyone to debug things much much easier.
However there's one important point. To attach a 3mf (or other files) to the forum you MUST zip them up. If you don't the forum will just silently drop them. Its also good practice to double check after posting to make sure the attached file is there as the post edit window is only a few minutes long.

You're a genius!
I would have bet on having tried the exact same yesterday, but as I just turned off the additional perimeters on overhangs (the experimental feature) it worked as it should (infill as in the first layer).
This still leaves me puzzled because I only activated that feature yesterday because we were looking for that specific error, but for now it works.
When I can reproduce this error without that feature I will re-open this thread, for now it can be closed. Thanks!

Glad to hear you have a potential solution.
This is a forum though and so we cant 'close' things. Cant even edit posts after about 5 minutes of posting them either. But do please let us know how things go.
