Two colors on the filament selection when viewing the Platertab

Good afternoon. I was wondering why the filament selector pull down on the Plater tab shows two colors. The seems to occur even if we hard code our own filament settings. See attached photo. Does this signify an unsaved change? Thanks in advance!

I've seen this discussed before but can't remember the reasoning for the two colors. I know it doesn't indicate unsaved changes.  Of the two colors, the color on the right controls the object color in the 3d editor.  And obviously the color on the left matches the color assigned in the filament settings.

That's all I got.  As I said there are some older posts that discuss it a little more.

I did try and find some old posts but I couldn't figure out how to formulate the search. Speaking of the 3D editor, how do you get to that? I saw that in a Prusa post on YouTube, but I didn't see how it was actually launched. Thanks and your answer makes sense to me.

In PS, at the bottom left corner are two icons. Hover over the icon on the left. The 3D editor view is what I meant in the earlier post.  See the attached JPG

What??? That's what that's called? I use that every time I slice something. I thought it was some other capability. Duh, I'm a dang genius! Back in the day we called that What You See Is What You Get 🤣

Hello Everyone,

First time poster. I know this post is old but I'll add this for completeness. I also found this 2 colored icon beside my filament selectors and ended up here to see that there was an answer of Extruder 1 posted by towlerg 👍 . Because I found this a little vague and actually overlooked it at first because it was a single word answer.

I'll add a little clarity for others that may find this post.

It is found in the "Printer" tab under Extruder 1 >  Preview > Extruder Color:

This sets the visuals in PrusaSlicer's 3D Editor View to show what Extruder 1 is going to be printing. If you click on the "Reset to Filament Color" to it's right, it updates the slicer view to show the filament color that you have the Filament set to, instead of a set color.

Keep on Printing. 😀
