Tree support

Hello everyone, Prusa Slicer is an excellent slicer, after trying it with others there is no desire to return. The only thing I would like is tree-like supports like in Cura, thanks to them you can achieve very high print quality without affecting the model itself with "snot". Thanks.

You can do it with a bit of a workaround.

Tree supports are enabled for SLA printers only - eventually they will be available generally but I presume there are some details to finalise...

So:  Enable an SLA printer.  Slice with supports, save the result as STL *including supports*, close.  Reopen and enable your printer of choice, import the STL which now has supports attached, slice again and now you have gcode with tree support...

Cheerio,

RE: Tree support

I agree it reduces the waste so much. For me it's the one reason to use Cura instead of PrusaSlicer

Cheerio,

i tried this workaround, unfortunately it limits the size of the model to the size of the SLA bed which is way smaller than the Mk3s bed.

RE:

Modify the sla printer bed size.  and printer height.  Its all configurable in your profile settings.  Printer Settings>General.  Max Print Height I hope is obvious and the Set Bed shape button, which when clicked allows you to set x and y.

Then save the modified profile and slice.
