Top Infill

I have found that selecting Hilbert Curve for a top fill pattern results in a beautifully textured surface of large areas.  However, it appears that whatever pattern I select for a top fill pattern also gets applied to the top surface of the embossed letters on the angled front surface.

I'm looking for suggestions to allow apply Hilbert on the top of the block but Rectilinear on the surface of the letters.

And yes, I know that specimen is spelled with an"e"... 🙄

I cant tell anything from that picture.  However you can use modifiers to define top fill patterns in different areas.  So depending on the object you could use a height range modifier.  Be aware though that some modifier options will in effect split the model into different volumes for slicing as that is how they work.

Without your Prusa slicer 3mf project to examine though advice may be limited.

Does the text contain specimen ?

Sorry for the image angle.  Yes, the text contains the word specimen.  I should have looked more closely at it before posting.  I believe your modifiers suggestion will do the trick.  I've never used them before so it didn't occur to me to try them.  Thanks.

Hey, show us a nice quality pic of the surface. I've never tried Hilbert so I'm genuinely curious.

And yes, the top solid infill pattern is being used for any top surface regardless unless you use a modifier to, well, modify it. But on that slanted surface I'm not sure you're going to have much luck.

Not the best photos, but hopefully they'll give an idea of the Hilbert Curve results.

Thanks for sharing. I can see how for some models this might look quite nice. Reminds me a bit of using fuzzy skin for vertical walls.
