Text Object Wrapping on a Tapered, Sloped Surface

Hi:

I'm looking for tips on how to get the new text tool WHICH IS AWESOME to wrap cleanly on a tapered and sloped surface like a cone.

In F360 and PS the text tends not to curl correctly at either end when the text is projected onto the surface (see the attached screen shot).  I was able to do lots of manipulations in F360 to get close but it seems to me that the text projection should be based on an axis and the surface incline to that axis in this case.

I also should add that I do in fact have a practical need for this.  I would like to help my former cub scout pack with printing trophies for one of their activities by embossing the event name on multicolor gold, silver and bronze trophies.  These trophies have a conical ridge on them where I'd like to emboss the text at a constant distance from the bottom of that ridge.

In the screen shot below only "E" and "t" are close to the bottom of the cone where I'd like all the letters to be.
