Supports not being added where they should be (I think)
Hi,
I'm new here. I have been working through a Fusion 360 tutorial ( ), which builds a "stamper" (similar to a rubber stamp, except it's not rubber!) that consists of a stamping "plate" that slides in to a handle, thus allowing plates to be interchanged. I sliced it and captured a slicer preview, moving through the layers: In that you can see that (green) supports are built only near the "opening" of the slot on both ends, but there's nothing in between those supports.
In Cura, the supports are built as expected. But, I would prefer to stick with PrusaSlicer if possible since I have a Mini+ on order (right now I'm using an Ender 3 V2).
Is this a bug, or am I not unstanding something? (PrusaSlicer v3.2)
Thanks,
Dave B.

RE: Supports not being added where they should be (I think)
Hi and welcome!
You can try with two options:
In Print Settings -> Support check if the function Don't support bridges is activated.
also you can try adding a support enforcer where you need to the support to be (check the link)
I'm not an expert. Ma parlo anche italiano 😉

The support enforcer still obeys the don't support bridges option though, but Antonio is correct that the most likely reason is you have Dont support bridges enabled. It usually is on the defaults.

Doesn't deal directly with your post but have you considered making the handle and the stamp holder separately. In that way you can flip the stamp holder and have a fair face for the stamp to sit on. It does however make the handle slightly more difficult to print. In my experience, which admittedly small, I have yet to print a clean face which relys on supports.
To attach the parts use either glue, interference fit or a metal screw.

@towlerg
I am in fact printing them separately, because I want to use different colours.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I got my Mini+ on Thursday so I'm merrily printing all sorts of stuff!
