STL model adjustment help please
Hi all,
I hope it's okay for me to request this here, I'm new, so my apologies if I am in the wrong area.
I have just bought my first 3D printer, an Ankermake M5C, and so far I am very pleased with it.
I need to produce an item, but using an STL file I found online, 2 of the 'sections' are too short, is it possible to adjust them would anybody know please?
Here is the item;
Basically, section 'C' needs to be 20mm (currently 15mm) and section 'F' needs to be 3mm (currently 1mm) - sections A, B, D and E are all perfect.
If anyone can assist please I would be hugely grateful.

C is actually 13.8mm and not 15, and F is 0.6mm and not 1mm. The model is completely free, no attribution needed either and looks to be available for any use.
The attached zip file contains the updated one. The bottom section is now 3mm and the middle is 20mm. I also fixed the zero faces and open edges while I was at it.

It's always better to go back to the original CAD file if at all possible.
I presume you checked the licence and made sure it's OK to modify the design ...? OK I did and it is.
This is at about the limit of slicer modification, here is what you do.
Cut the object into *parts* somewhere in section C.
Rise the upper part by 5mm.
Add part > cylinder, resize and move to fill the space.
Add part > cylinder, resize and move to below F to complete the structure.
Reposition the whole on the print bed, slice and print.
You are going to need some support and the original was not well designed for 3D printing but you should finish with something useable.
*Note the distinction between parts and objects, you need parts.

Easy peasy to do in Blender. I'll take a look when I get back home this evening. If the model allows modification I'll edit it and upload it here.

As I said, I'm totally new to 3D printing, but will be sure to check Blender out and try and work out how to best use it.
