Spiral Vase settings - why?
I have read plenty about Spiral Vase mode. And I have just printed my first object using that method and it was flawless.
My question (for which i may take some stick for being dumb) is what is the principal reason for , or benefit from , Spiral Vase.
Whilst my first vase (for "Mothers Day") printed perfectly with a great finish to it, it clearly has no substance and the shell is, as i expected, far too flexible.
If it is not possible to increase the perimeters beyond 1 ( for which I have read some technical reasons to do with overlapping), then I am now trying to understand in what circumstances i might ever want to use this process again.
Enlightenment would be much appreciated.

Use a larger nozzle with wider extrusions and it makes more sense. A 1mm perimeter is pretty strong.

It's also a great way to demo 3d printing at maker shows as you get a fast flawless print... if a bit misleading as regards speed of ordinary prints!
I sometimes use it to make moulds for casting too.
