Spiral vase mode gives weird result
Hi, I have been trying spiral vase mode to print the head of my D0-Droid (design by Mr Baddeley). Spiral vase mode seems to give the best results for the bottom part of the print, but a hole shows up about halfway through the print which I cant seem to get rid off (shows below).
I tried slicing it in cura in vase mode as well, and that works just fine.
Now obviously I would print it with the Cura slicer settings, but unfortunately I don't seem able to get cura to work with my MK4. Is there an extra setting in PrusaSlicer I could try to get rid of this hole in the outer wall?
RE: Spiral vase mode gives weird result
Could there be errors in the STL, that are handled differently by cura to prusa slicer.
If your download shows errors, try right clicking on the object, and repairing the model

RE: Spiral vase mode gives weird result
Thanks for the suggestion. When I load the file it says several errors were automatically fixed. Repairing it through the option in the menu doesnt seem to do anything as it cannot find any additional errors. I have several versions of the design in STL format (undented, without eyes) etc, but they all give different problems in spiral mode whereas none occur in Cura. This is a far worse version:
RE:
Im getting the same issue with a model that prints fine in Pruserslicer 1.41.3 but since upgrading to PruserSlicer 2.7.1 I getting large areas missing when slicing.
RE: Spiral vase mode gives weird result
That's quite an old version, the oldest I can download from the website is 1.7.7. I'll see how that works for me, even though it won't have MK4 support either (so not really a solution unfortunately).
RE: Spiral vase mode gives weird result
This does work in 1.34.1! Version number is weird as it said 1.7.7 on the website, but regardless, it works. Now this is obviously for a MK2 where it should be printed on a MK4. Can I somehow hack the gcode from a MK2 and turn it into gcode a MK4 can read?
