Specifying the base AND the head of a support

I am using manual SLA support editing for the SL1 printer.

Is it possible to add a support and tell it to go from one part of an object to another, rather than the program determining its path?

If not, can this be added as another feature?

Meshmixer allows editing the tree support paths both manually placing supports and editing of automatically placed supports.  Not P.S., but it is a workflow that is available.
