Small model with points gets sliced with spurious overhangs
I'm trying to print something small, with points and edges. PrusaSlicer keeps generating layers with overhangs even though the model contains no overhangs.
This is true even of the lower layers that are 100% the same shape as the layer below. Is there some setting I should be changing to make this behave better? I'm using the 0.07mm ultradetail setting.
There are facets visible in on your shapefile image, you may be seeing interactions of these facets with the basic geometry and the slicer then has trouble approximating the fine edges.
Export your shapefile with higher precision (probably an output setting) and you should get a smoother slice.
That said, why are you using 0.07mm layers? I would expect that shape to be OK with 0.2mm layers.
Cheerio,
RE: Small model with points gets sliced with spurious overhangs
Changed to higher resolution and .15 layer height and I still see this:
Regardless of how big the facets are, it seems to me a layer whose cross-section extends beyond the layer above in every dimension, should always extend out at least as large as that higher layer. Does this not seem like a bug to you?

Also try classic slicing algo rather than Arachne, it has trouble with thin edges like that. At least of the default settings.
if you post a saved project file from PRUSA slicer (file>save project as) then zip up the 3mf and attach it here we can take a look at it.
