Slow Graphics onPrusaSlicer-2.8.0+linux-x64-GTK3-202406271021-Ubuntu-24-04
Anyone have very slow 3D rendering after slicing, program is almost not even usable after slicing.
I use to use Windows 10 on my laptop and just switched to Linux Mint 22 and now i cant run Prusa Slicer normally.

I have a dual boot (Windows 10/Ubuntu.24.04.4) desktop machine. Windows is on an SSD and Linux on a coventional internal drive. There is no perceptible speed difference in the slicer performance between them. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Hi,
What is your graphics cards? I've noted that in Linux, sometimes the Graphics Card doesn't have a driver by default, thus causing this problem of severe slowdown after slicing. Sometimes, it's possible to download and install a driver (mainly Geforce and Radeon cards).
I do use PlusaSlicer on my old Dell with Intel Core i7 3770 CPU from 2012. After i've put a (old, too) Geforce gtx 1060 super, it's very fast in Linux and in the Windows too.

Thanks Brian for the feedback much appreciated. Maybe something is wrong with my Linux install for the graphics.

All, Update see the link from Github. Prusa slicer 2.8 is not stable with G Code Preview failing graphics. Regardless of computer performance specs.
