Slicing turns gentle slope into steps

Hey,

I am trying to slice the following model:

But when I slice it the "tail" of the model gets these steps that previously weren't there. Is there a setting that I can use in order to get rid of the steps (I would like it to look as close to the model as possible)?

I tried playing around a bit with ironing but so far have gotten no results that I am satisfied with.

Is there anything else that I can try, or should I adjust my model desing to have a steeper angle?

Thanks for the help,
Miha

these steps are a factor of filament printing

They are like contours on a hiking map. They indicate changes in height. The closer together, the steeper the slope.

They are based on the printing layer height.

The smaller the layer height, the shallower the steps.

You can use variable layer height to smooth the steps where needed without slowing the entire print

Not sure if strength is an issue but could you rotate the model so you print it on its side? That way you won't have the layer "steps" in that area.

You could also use sandpaper to smooth them out.

This definitely makes the most sense if the strength requirements will permit it.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

For now, I think that the best solution is actually turning the model on the side and printing it like that. Both the sandpaper and smaller layer height are valid solutions for printing a small amount of these as well.
