Slicing Issue - Phantom Layers
I keep running into this issue, but I'm not sure if anything can be done about it. I'll render an object in Matter Control and when I bring it into PrusaSlicer, it initially looks fine but when I slice it, I end up with these extra layers that obstruct the openings. The first picture is the imported STL, the second is from the top with the brand new blue layer that I don't want and the third picture shows it from the bottom. Note: The hole in the bottom is intentional. The only difference between the two openings is one is longer than the other. Is there any way to get PrusaSlicer to stop doing this or some means to fix it short of finding another rendering tool? Any insight would be appreciated. I have attached the STL and the 3MF file below.
I'm using PrusaSlicer 2.7.4+win64

you have errors in your STL
the little orange triangle next to the part name, is warning you that the STL has errors. if you are using windows, you can click on the triangle and windows will fix the errors for you, after which the file should slice as you would expect

Well, that was easy. I hadn't even noticed that little error flag. Thank you.
