Preset confusion

I've been using PrusaSlicer as my main slicer for a few years now.  On the whole I find it really pretty good, particularly considering it's free software.  There is one area that really does my head in though, and that is trying to figure out how the preset system works.  This has become more of a problem over time as I have added more printers, filaments, and different nozzle sizes.  Maybe someone has a better way of doing what I'm trying to achieve?

An example is, I have added a physical printer called "Duet Monster 0.8 nozzle * Tevo Little Monster 0.8 nozzle" and I have created some print settings "Tevo Little Monster 0.3mm".  The printer settings under extruder 1 have the nozzle diameter, 0.8mm.  The print settings under advanced have the extrusion width, the value of which is influenced by the nozzle diameter; in the range 0.7 through 0.9mm.  Great!

Now I create a new printer called "Duet Monster 0.6 nozzle * Tevo Little Monster 0.6 nozzle" with a 0.6mm nozzle (surprise surprise).  I also want a print settings "Tevo Little Monster 0.3mm", but that one already exists and has values suitable for a 0.8mm nozzle, not a 0.6mm nozzle.  Hmm, so I create a print setting "Tevo Little Monster 0.3mm layer 0.6mm nozzle" and that's all fine.  But... When I go back to the "Duet Monster 0.8 nozzle * Tevo Little Monster 0.8 nozzle", I can see the preset for the 0.6mm nozzle in the list, and that seems wrong.  For example when using the "Original Prusa i3 MK3S & MK3S+" printer (which I also have), I can only see the print settings that apply for that printer, and not "0.4mm DRAFT" for example, which is available on the "Original Prusa i3 MK3S & MK3S+ 0.6 nozzle".

How do other people with multiple setups name things?

...I've also had issues where I create a filament called, say, "eSunABS-Max", for the Prusa, but then I select another printer and the "eSunABS-Max" is no longer in the filament list.  Sigh.  So I have to create a new filament called, say, "eSunABS-Max TLM".  Sigh.  Saving a new filament as "eSunABS-Max" doesn't work because it already exists.  So clearly I'm not quite understanding what's going on there.  Can someone please enlighten me???
