Slicing is adding breaks and turn details underneath actual details (like fonts).....why?

I have these little disks I am making with fonts written on top.  Prusa Slicer is adding detail in the slicing below the font which I would prefer not to be there, so that the printing is faster and smoother.    These prints are with 100% infill on purpose to add weight to the pieces.

I have modeled this myself in Solidworks and there are no errors with the model.  The cross-section looks clean.  I have tried both STLs and STEP....same result.

Any idea what is causing this, and if there is a way to optimize the model?

Where you have cut-outs the top layers begin below the lowest point - and invert for bottom layer details.  Reduce the number of top and bottom layers and you reduce the effect but if you are not using high fill percentages in the body it will impact finish quality.

Need 100% infill for weight.

So you should be OK.

My original question was why is the slicer is adding extra breaks and turns several layers below even though 100% infills being used,  and how to fix….

Although I agree it is  “ok”, it is less than optimal for printing.

Its been reported on github as an issue, I remember seeing it.  I'm tired and my search skills are drained but it may have been this one https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/11109

but there are loads about surfaces being split into different regions due to the shape of later layers.  Such as this one https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/12260 or this https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/8818
