Slicer oddities with embedded bodies

I have been trying to embed some text bodies in solids without success.

Before moving to text, let's try this with just simple objects (see embedded square v1.3mf).

When I import this, assign extruders and slice, it comes out as expected:

Next, I created a square with text as bodies. When I import that and slice it, the slicer ignores the text bodies.

Why the different behavior?

While you are sorting out uploading (and getting around this forum's quirks), check the order of your parts in the object tree. This makes a difference. You should be able to drag and drop the parts in the object tree to change the order.

No file.  You need to zip a .3mf or the forum software rejects it.

Thank you, I tried (via the Choose File button) but it appeared only to let me attach one file and then the preview did not show any attachments either...

Indeed that was the issue. Dragging the base part to the top of the list worked as expected:

Thank you for your patience.
