Slicer is missing part of the model when sliced...
Never had any trouble with slicer software, however after a print today, it didn't seem right, so I went and had a look at the plater, and the sliced model, and there's quite a big difference. Any idea what might be going on here?
Model in Slicer

Does it give you a warning to repair the file?

No warnings, nothing under info... all looks fine.
Interestingly the one the creator posted a picture of on thingiverse looks to also have the same part missing....

Mind posting either your project or the stl ? We can take a look at it then.
You must zip up any stl or project files into an archive for the forum to accept them (just in case you weren't aware).

Sure, I got it from here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:44072
It's only happened once to me, so it may be a real edge case. I made my own modified design which slices just fine.

@wcndave
I will try to print it tonight.

You don't need to print, just try to slice it, maybe it's just me!

Yep, both of the stl files you pointed to have errors and are non manifold. Non manifold models are the death of slicers.
The one you tried gets the end truncated and the other gets the entire middle removed, in that when sliced it has the bottom layers and the top layers, with nothing joining them.
I've attached a zip archive with both of them fixed. 2 second job in Blender using its 3dprint tool to automatically make them manifold. They now both slice correctly.
As to why PS thinks the hook was manifold I don't know. It wasn't. That's why its incomplete.

@neophyl
Thanks, I'll let the creator know on thinginverse!

There was already a comment someone left saying both models have issues when I went and downloaded them.
