Slicer Generating Incorrect First Layer

I'm making a case for my phone but the slicer generates a large overhanging section on the second layer instead of it being a part of the first. I've tried it as an .stl and .obj with the results being the same. For the model I'm using Solidworks and the surface is level. Not sure where to go from here. I've attached an image (I think). Any help is appreciated.

In Prusa Sliver, In 3D editor view, with the okject selected, press 'f'  for Place on Face, tool and you should be offered options to place the model flat on a face... select the face, and it should end up flat on the build plate!

Be sure the face is truly perfectly flat.

@joantabb

Thanks for the suggestion. I failed to mention it in the original post, but this is the outcome after using that "place on face" feature. For the heck of it, I tried it again and now it's even worse than before.

@bobstro

The .sldprt is definitely flat and parallel with respect to the global planes. I pulled up the .stl and verified that it is flat and parallel as well. In the slicer I started to play with rotate feature and got it close. I then dialed it in using the object manipulation inputs set on local coordinates. I was able to perfectly "level" it by retyping in 90 deg. for the x axis. I've got a solid purple layer now!

Thanks for the help!
