Slicer deletes a part of my design

Hi,

I am having trouble with the PrusaSlicer deleting a part of my design when I slice it. (I have tried detect thin walls, and went down to 0.05mm ultra detail). I designed it in blender which may have caused something weird to happen when I exported, any thoughts?

stl file --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/182-LU5jv4cMZx_5myoaT9GIPwygnRvNG/view?usp=sharing

Your STL has lots of Errors
when Slicer tries to slice the model these errors cause the thin part of the model to fail.

In the image below there are two instances of the model,
the first one was loaded and slicer showed an orange triangle next to the  model name in the right hand window, so I clicked on the triangle, and prusa slicer used a microsoft tool to repair the model

the model then sliced more favourably.

so I added a second instance of your model STL. and again sliced the STL's
In the image the left hand instance is un fixed, the right hand model is fixed

Slicer is reporting 100 open edges (Still faulty)  and 1384 automatically fixed errors in the left hand model...
Simplify 3D  also fails to slice the model

I have no idea what is causing the errors to be exported by your 3D Modelling software.

on the flip side, Astroprint seems to slice the file OK!

which shows that different slicers work differently and handle errors differently.

RE:

Yeah I had a look too in Blender.  Its 3d Print tool reports 117 Non Manifold Edges (which is the main thing slicers don't like).  10 Bad Contiguous Edges, 248 intersecting faces and 38 zero faces.

If you haven't already activated it then turn the built in 3dtool add on to on.  The model is a bit of a mess, the geometry is all over the place.  While the 3dtool can in limited circumstances fix issues, in this case it doesnt as the model is too broken.  It will however show you the areas it detects.
