slicer 2.4.0 copy ?
I have the slicer 2.4.0 and the copy icon has changed and now has a paste icon with it. It takes two moves to copy one item. In the previous version I could click the copy icon and it would automatically do a paste. Not a problem for one copy but if I want 50 copies of the same item that is twice as many move than with The previous ver. 2.3.1. Am I missing something?

I don't think I've ever actually used the copy item but to get a copy of a model you can just click on the plus icon (add instance), or right click on the model and select Set number of instances... and type in 50.

Fuchsr is right with the ways to use instances and that is generally the best way to get multiples of the same items. You can also use the + and - on your keyboard to add and remove instances.
However sometime you need to copy and not use an instance as you want to do something unique to it (with an instance what you do to one you do to all at the same time). In that case then the easiest is to use cntrl+c and then just use cntrl+v to paste as many copies as you need. Its just cntrl+v lots then as you only need to copy it once. So 1 extra action.
