Simplify algorithm of the wipe tower
Hello,
I'm new to 3D printing and I was trying to use the Wipe Tower and didn't understand why it's so complicated. In my opinion, when an extruder change is needed the step should be :
- retract the filament 1 to the "stay position"
- insert the filament 2 of the length defined in the configuration
- purge the needed volume inside the wipe tower
- return to print
What I don't understand is during the "wipe tower print" it adds and retract multiple times the same extruder, losing time and probably filament during the process. So, is it possible to change the behaviour of the wipe tower creation by changing some configuration or G-code?
