Restoring Gcode back to default from BGcode after updating.
Hello
Could someone please tell me how to change Prusaslicers " Save Type As " Back to Gcode as default ? after updating prusaslicer, its defaulting to BGcode and the printers are not recognizing the file type.
I wish they would not changed this default without prompting first.
Thanks for any help

Its located in Print Settings>Output Options>Output File>Export As Binary Gcode. Its a tickbox setting. Also its a red/expert setting so make sure you are in expert mode to see it.
In future if looking for something in PS then use its search function. The magnifying glass icon (or cntrl+F). Typing in Binary finds it immediately and you can click on it and it takes you directly to the setting.
You will probably need to save the profile as your own custom one as Prusa do not allow modification of the default profiles.

Prusa do not allow modification of the default profiles.
So default Profiles for Prusa printer or all... if all, what about printers that don't support BGcode from the start ?? So your telling me I have to change for every print ???
RE: Restoring Gcode back to default from BGcode after updating.
As far as I am aware ( without installing every printer to check) the binary gcode option has only been enabled for the Prusa printers that can support it when on the latest firmware, so the mini, the mk4 and the xl. It should not have been enabled for other printers.
If you wanted it off for those then you would need to create and save copies of a LOT of profiles, basically every standard print profile for those printers that you wanted to use. Which is a pain in the ass and why several people are making that point on the PS GitHub to the devs.
If Prusa decides to enable it on any other printer then the same would apply. It also applies to any other setting Prusa decides to change and has worked like this for a long time. It is one reason I only use my own copies for slicing. I started doing so when they introduced the dependency system. I have defaults installed and if I decide a change is worth it then I will update my copies.

OK that makes more sense to me... I was just a little confused (as usual) it seems ...
Thanks!

This needs to be put back to the regular gcode as the DEFAULT ! ! My prusa mini has the latest firmware but it still does not like binary gcode files. Give us the option at install to choose our own default setting.. I tried to use the mini wifi to upload the bgcode.. It won't work !! NOT HAPPY !!!

The latest firmware will enable binary gcode on your Mini: https://help.prusa3d.com/downloads

Yes, but it's problem, because via Prusa Link it's not uploading bgcode 🙁 It's reported as bug.

Unless there's a different Mini specific bug, AFAIK, it's the clicking through file explorer option that is kinda bugged only because it doesn't show bgcode filetypes by default. But you can just change the extension type to "All Files (*.*)" and you'll be able to select bgcode to upload, or just simply drag your file(s) onto the browser window when on the Storage page to upload.

Right … Question to the development team: Will this bug be corrected in the next future?

This is a question best asked on the Prusa Slicer Git hub!
