Reduction in the number of filament changes
I would like to know if there is any feature in PrusaSlicer to reduce the number of filament changes in multifilament prints. If it does not exist, it would be very interesting to have a non-planar feature for this, it would really save more than 70% of the exchanges.
RE: Reduction in the number of filament changes
Hi Bruno,
you would be advised to raise your request on the Prusa Slicer Git Hub page, explaining your idea, and demonstrating how 70% of filament changes could be saved.
since most multi material / multi colour print errors happen during the filament changes, if there is a way of reducing the number of changes I am sure Prusa would like to look at the option.
to the best of my knowledge Non Planar printing has been discussed before and I believe the proximity of the Pinda / Super Pinda, to the print height, would increase the risk of collisions if non planar printing were to be utilised on a Prusa Printer
