Question About Placing Text on an Object

When moving the text around I sometimes pull it away from the object, unfortunately this is not noticeable when looking at it from the front. I have to move to an isometric view to see it what I have done. Is there a way to "lock it" to the "face" of the main object, or a way to have the two surfaces "touch" one another? I figured I'm doing something dumb for this to happen, just haven't been able to figure out what. 😄

RE: Question About Placing Text on an Object

Am I correct in observing that the text will appear on the SIDE of the main object during printing, and the 'embossing' will be of the same color and is intended to be raised from the surface of the main object (or even sunken in) with no supports?

If so, the text will definitely sag and droop during printing and will not appear as you expect.

If you are using break-away supports on the text, there will be artifact and blemishes from the supports and it will not give you nice clear text.

If I were doing that print, I would print the text separately on a small flat glue-in piece, with the text facing upward during print and then put the pieces together after printing.
