RE: PS Linux version vs Win version run under Wine

According to Netcraft, forum.prusa3d.com is most likely using the nginx server software under Linux.

Thanks for the info although I guess a web server's OS should be transparent.

Jeesh!

Is that a comment on my original question ...but I'm curious how well running [PS] under Wine works? Or perhaps you are disgusted that I should ask because Wine is either horrible or wonderful?

Why is my question pointless?

I fail to see why you're all so upset and why this thread has turned toxic. I surrender. Anyone who feels like having a last word have at it.

Just a comment like I walked right into a food fight or something.

RE:

Most things will run quite well under WINE these days.

Having said that, in recent experience (like today) on the same machine, the Windows version fees horribly slow and clunky vs. the flatpack versions on Linux (bamboostudio, prusaslicer or orca)

machine: Lenovo T480 quad core I5, 64GB ram, Mint LMDE 6 (Debian 12) KDE. Usually.

One reason to do this is there are sometimes missing features in the Linux version, like mesh repair.
