Prusasliver can't open .gcode
Hello
I am new to PrusaSlicer and Prusa in general.
I have downloaded some models from prusa library repo : https://www.prusaprinters.org
For most of them, when double clicking the file, this has no effect.
File i can't open for ex : https://www.prusaprinters.org/fr/prints/360-guybrush-threepwood-monkey-island
I can manage to open some but not all.
Question is : is that normal ?
Running Win10 2004 version and Prusaslicer 2.2.0
Thanks for the support.
RE: Prusasliver can't open .gcode
I looked at the link. The file is .gcode and should not need prusaslicer or any other slicer. Just put it on the correct medium and your printer should print it.
The prints entry did say that a .stl file is available, if you want to load it into prusaslicer and slice it yourself.
RE: Prusasliver can't open .gcode
Ok thanks.
I did not understand why some .gcode could be opened and other not.
For the file https://www.prusaprinters.org/fr/prints/360-guybrush-threepwood-monkey-island so there is not way to increase/decrease print size.
Well that is fine.

I use CraftWare slicer to view g-code files - it has nice features to inspect the g-code and show cut-through. Link to CraftWare
Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

If you just want to change the size, you can simply increase or decrease the scale in prusaslicer.
If you want to modify/size/whatever, it looks like the original .stl file is available here:
https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-guybrush-threepwood-monkey-island-55640
You can take the .stl, load it into something like Freecad, convert it to a shape and then a solid, and do whatever you want with it.

Thank you.
I managed to open the .stl file in PrusaSlider.
Maker says that it need support to be build, but those are missing in PrusaSlicer display.
Do i need to set them up in there for a correct print or will support will be printed ?
Thanks

Thank you, i will have a look at this program.

General supports can be set from the main prusaslicer screen on the right panel.
You can go into the print settings tab (upper left) and adjust things under 'support material', and I would strongly suggest changing the 'contact Z distance' to .2 or .25, as the default of .1 is meant for soluble support material.
