PrusaSlicer shows version 2.2.0+
I jusst upgraded PrusaSlicer to 2.4, or at least I think I did. I'm on a Mac so I pull the driver icon to the Applications folder and it asks me if I want to replace PrusaSlicer, I tell it to do so, yet when I open it the title bar says PrusaSlicer 2.2.0+, and I get the same thing when I click Help->About PrusaSlicer.
I might not mind this, but I'm wondering if I actually got the new version, recently I've tried to open 3mf files created by others and I get an error, ConfigBase::set_deserialize() failed. This makes me think I may be actually running an old version.

RE: PrusaSlicer shows version 2.2.0+
Well, if the About box says 2.2.0, it doesn't take rocket science to conclude that you're not running 2.4 🙂
Two thoughts:
* Download the software again and make sure you download the correct version. ( https://cdn.prusa3d.com/downloads/drivers/prusa3d_mac_2_4_0.dmg)
* Make sure you quit any running instance of Prusaslicer before upgrading.

Thanks for the dig, and you're noble?
I downloaded and installed from the installer and had the same result. My final solution was to locate every instance of PrusaSlicer in every subdirectory on my machine and delete it. I then did a new install. I don't know why but for some reason when I told PrusaSlicer to replace the previous version it did not, I had to hand delete it. I can now confirm I'm running 2.4.0.

I guess I should have used two smiley faces... there was no dig intended.
Glad you got it working.

RE:
I am on a Mac, but the puzzler was I didn't do a custom install, ever. I always told it to replace what it found. When I was upgrading the incremental 2.2.0s it would show a build number after the 2.2.0, but when I installed 2.3.0 it didn't update the number. I thought it was some weir revision thing they were doing, but when I couldn't open 3mf files I began to think that something else was going on. Not sure what happened, but I hope from here on out it really does do a replace.
Cheers
