Prusaslicer results compared to MK3S cura profile?

Hi all,

So as a side gig I’ve been printing and selling lithophanes on the side with my MK3S. I’ve been trying to adjust settings on prusaslicer to get the best print possible, but I can’t seem to figure why it prints worse in one area compared to a print sliced with cura using the mk3s profile, and vice versa in another, despite having the same settings as far as layer height, speed, temp, etc? The two I’ve been running it through are Prusaslicer and Cura 4.0. Please see below:

https://imgur.com/yOVQdKe On my prints it transitions at 3 different levels based on the background darkness, and for some reason using Prusaslicer here, it always comes out kind of jagged if you’ll look about the lower middle of the print, and it’s always in the same areas on all of my prints, so something isn’t slicing well.

Compared to Cura 4.0 using the MK3S profile on it: https://imgur.com/4iX6hhe It’s a lot smoother and not jagged, like how it’s supposed to be on the previews.

Now in contrast, Prusaslicer handles the z seam a lot nicer (raised sorta ridges): https://imgur.com/zKOKFU1

Compared to Cura (in which the z seam is sunken in and almost under-extruded at the end): https://imgur.com/R23MpqD

So yeah, it would be ideal if I could tweak the prusaslicer settings to get me the quality of what Cura does for those background transitions, but nothing seems to be working so far. I recently did one with random z seam in cura that gave a really nice print, so I’m thinking I’d try that with prusaslicer since it could be those jagged bits are where the z seam are when it sliced it (I just had the seam setting at the default nearest, but I don’t recall seeing a random option?).

Any suggestions all? Thanks!
