PrusaSlicer - Is there a comments area in 3MF or STL
I would like to be able to put some comments with the file so I if I go to print it a months later I can look why I did a specific layer height or infill pattern, etc.
Is there a space to store comments like this in a 3MF or STL and if so where is it in PrusaSlicer?
No need for slicer, .3mf is just a rebadged .zip file. Add a readme.txt with your archiver.
.stl is a text file but there isn't an easy way to add metadata.

Yes.
Every tab has a Note's section with an area to add any notations you would like to your .3mf files. they stay with the project .3mf when saved.

I saw those Note sections but I thought they would save with the profile and not the Project.
I guess that will work... I was just hoping for something on the main Platter screen that would be easy to see as soon as I opened the project.

I don't know what your skill level is with PrusaSlicer, or what type of system you are working with. However if you have a dual monitor setup you can go to, Configuration/preferences/GUI [Layout Options] and select "Settings in non-modal window" this will allow you to display your Print Settings, Filament Settings and Printer Settings Tabs in a seperate window on a different monitor, leaving the platter area open for business while displaying all your settings ( and NOTES) as well when you add Notes to the .3mf file in this way they are also added to the exported G-code file and can be reviewed separately if needed in a text editor. They are stored at the beginning of the file with a time and date stamp.
Saving your notes in the G-code file is also great, in case you lose the project file you still have all the setup information to allow for possible reconstruction at a later date.
Even if you don’t have a dual monitor setup, using the ‘Settings in non-modal window" option will still allow you to see both settings (Notes in this case) and the platter at the same time if you adjust the window sizes so they both fit on the screen.
I hope this helps.

I wasn't aware of that setting to pop out the menus. I did try it but wasn't crazy about it.
At least that I know the Notes area is there I can use it for now.
Thanks for all the help.

In the Notes box of each tab, you can include any symbols you choose. Using your archiver, add a readme.txt file.

By utilizing the Notes section in PrusaSlicer, you can keep track of important details about your prints, enabling you to refer back to them when needed.
