Prusaslicer idea! simple check filiament

Dobry Den to the Prusa folks!

If you just could add a line to the slice info I get after slicing, that gave the needed filament length in stead of volume, we can simply use a tape rule to see if we still have enough filament on the roll. So... volume (mm3) x (1,75/2)^2 x pi x100 will give the length in cm of filament. handy if you are near the end of a roll.

Hiya.  This is a user to user forum, suggestions etc need to be made over on the Prusa slicer github.

However Prusa Slicer already does what you suggest.  After you slice if you look at the bottom right area below the list of objects and parts you will see a section called Sliced Info.
It gives you the required filament in grams, metres and volume.  It also gives you the cost based on the settings under filament profiles.  That is followed by the time to print.

Its pretty much always done that back to before it was even Prusa slicer.

RE:

As above, but some params are displayed only if you set filament density in the settings, so maybe you need to edit custom filament by adding the density and save it 😉
If the vendor does no provide it then you can check values for Prusament.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
