PrusaSlicer Feature request - PAINT-ON Multiple Materials
I am a pretty good printer operator (which I have learned is less trivial than it sounds) but still a lousy 3D designer.
It would be cool if it was possible to identify which sections of a print you wanted in a different material, similar to the way "paint on support" works in PrusaSlicer 2.3. There are lots of print designs out there I can print that I believe would benefit from multi-material, but I am not yet clever enough to refactor / decompose them into constituent parts. For instance: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2255308 -> the bed on that toy dumper truck.
Keep up the great work
PS - if this is already possible in PRUSA SLICER today, I would certainly appreciate a reference to the docs that talk about it.
RE: PrusaSlicer Feature request - PAINT-ON Multiple Materials
*sigh: as is often the case - after I ask a question then the answer appears to me. Looks like 'split to objects' / 'split to parts' will do what I want with multiple materials on that particular design. It doesn't address more monolithinc or organic shaped objects, but it certainly lets me do everything I wanted with these little quasi-mechanical tchotchkes.

@rladams65
That should work. Post back and let us know how well it does.
