PrusaSlicer 2 does not turn on fan!
Using PrusaSlicer 2.0.0.
The gcode generated does not contain any M106 commands and thus the fan doesn't turn on. This is weird because I didn't have this problem with Slic3r. I was using Slic3rPE Beta 2 for a while and am wondering if that somehow messed things up.
In the Cooling section, I've tried both having auto cooling enabled and disabled (together with Keep Fan always on checked) and the fan never turns on - because no M106 codes are generated in the resulting gcode file.
Is there another setting somewhere that I am missing?

use the configuration wizard in PrusaSlicer and reinstall the pruse printer profiles for your printer. then try again

I've tried different profiles including the default Prusa PLA and Prusa PET ones. Same result. No M106 in the gcode generated.

Well - no clue what to tell you other than it works for 99.9999% of the users of Prusa printers. So you have done something odd and it's come back to haunt you. You might try uninstalling Prusa Slicer, then do a new install using a new download of the installer.

That fixed it - thanks for the help.
Now I need to manually recreate my setup since I can't re-import my config bundle. 🙁 that'll teach me to mess with beta releases...

PrusaSlicer is out of beta. Just edit the 1st line in your previous config bundle to match the new line and it can be read in easily.

I just re-checked, and I'm not having issues importing config bundles created in Slic3rPE into PrusaSlicer. It's only the basic config exports that require editing of the 1st line. What sort of errors are you getting?

RE: PrusaSlicer 2 does not turn on fan!
There is a bug with PrusaSlicer when exporting config bundle (bug has been reported, and supposedly the fix will be in the next release whenever that is). If you don't have the SL1 printer configured then the config bundle save routine seems to crash when trying to write the presets section of the ini that says on load what presets were selected during the save. AFAIK it is the last section, I do know that all my custom printer, filament, and print settings are saved. Here is what my presets section looks like after PrusaSlicer crashes when saving them (it's the last 3 lines in the saved ini file):
[presets]
print = 0.20mm QUALITY MK3 (CDE)
sla_prin
If I delete the last 3 lines of the ini in a text editor, then I can load the config bundle. (I try to maintain the same settings on two different computers, so this is a constant hassle for me...)

Actually, I believe there is a bug. Not with the MK3S/S+ profile but when you create a custom printer.
I used the Wizard to create a custom printer for my CoreXY. Everything is working fine, however, the part cooling fan NEVER turns on per the OP's screenshot - same settings. The fan should be on but does not ever engage.
Sliced the same file with the same start g-code in S3D and the part cooling fan works as expected.
I am now testing porting a Creality Ender 5 profile and saving it as a different name and seeing if there's an issue there.

Did you figure it out? I am having the same issues with a custom profile set up for an Ender 3.. I did the same process for a Sovol SV01 and the fan works fine. The fan does not turn on when using with the Ender 3 profile.

@pielemj
I did not get this resolved. I believe it is a bug and it will get addressed in 2.3.1 - hopefully. I just clogged my Ender 5+ because I forgot about this issue.

YEah.. It is not doing it on my sovol for some reason.. They share a lot of the same components. I wonder if it is related to the firmware that is installed on the printer. Did you try updating your firmware to a different version? I'm running the Coptertec firmware on my sovol and whatever came standard on the ender 3 pro.
