PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 Request Thread
Hi all,
I did not see an existing request thread for any upcoming PrusaSlicer updates. I do not know if it will be version 2.2.0 or 2.1.1 (small updates?)
Anyway... one feature I forgot to request for the current update is an Overlap (Infill/Perimeters Overlap) for the first layer only and the current available Overlap setting to remain for the rest of the print layers. What I've noticed since printing on the textured plate is I'm often left with some small voids where the infill intersects the perimeter. I'm speculating that this is due to the textured plate requiring more volume for the first layer. With the flat PEI sheet I didn't have this issue after getting my printer dialed in. But printing on the textured I have to bump to First Layer extrusion width which affects each path , whereas tuning the Overlap give me a cleaner result where perimeters are intersected.
My prints are really clean and dimensional accurate right now but I still have the issue with the Overlap nagging at me, ha...

I believe you can do this with modifiers currently. Not super-convenient, but it might do what you need for now. Prusa is doing heavy development on the PS interface and innards, so a lot of things are becoming possible now.
You can certainly make requests here and the devs & Team Prusa do see them now and then, but issues on GitHub are tracked and are likely to get more direct attention. Nothing wrong with fielding ideas here, shaking them out then creating a formal feature request.

Hi Bob !
Thank You for posting a legitimate response 😎 I will dig around the advanced settings a little more and see what I can find.
Thanks,
Eric
