Given that Prusa and Printed Solid are well connected, why is there such a difference between the Prusaslicer profiles for Prusament and Jessie PETG

I don't know all the formula details between the two, but based on my most recent visit at PrintedSolid, Jessie and Prusament are manufactured on separate filament lines. The line that they make Prusament on is a direct copy of the filament lines at Prusa. The lines that they make Jessie on are in-house developed lines that they started working on before the Prusa purchase. I honestly don't know how the two lines differ on a technical aspect nor usability.

My supposition is that Jessie and PrintedSolid filaments have slightly different formulations, and Jessie is PrintedSolid's IP developed before Prusa bought a controlling interest in them. I don't know the details of the contract when Prusa bought into PrintedSolid (and nor should I, not having any business interest in either company), but from the outside it appears that there must be some clause(s) in the contract that allows PrintedSolid to maintain some sort of unique identity separate from Prusa. PrintedSolid continues to be a vendor for non Prusa parts (though I note that they only sell Prusa complete printers now) and consumables. PrintedSolid is still able to sell their own filament line in addition to a different selection of 3rd party filament makers.
