Prusa slicer should include filament calibration models and files

It would be really cool to see an option under the "Configuration" tab labeled "Filament calibration prints" and it would have a few options for different filament types and tests. For example, we could select "PETG Temp Tower", it would load in a temp tower with the PETG general temp ranges and preset temperature change commands at their respective layers.

It would be super helpful for those of us who like to try different or unique filaments all the time. Temp towers take forever to set up. Some other tests would be detail, stringing, bridging, overhang, etc.

That’s a fantastic idea! Integrating filament calibration models directly into PrusaSlicer could streamline the setup process and make it more accessible for users experimenting with different materials. Having a dedicated "Filament Calibration Prints" section under the Configuration tab would save a lot of time and effort.
Here’s a breakdown of how it could work:

Proposed Features for "Filament Calibration Prints"Pre-Configured Models:

Temperature Towers: Options for various filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS, etc., each with preset temperature ranges and layer change commands.Detail Test Models: Benchmarks that focus on layer resolution and detail fidelity.Stringing Tests: Models designed to evaluate stringing issues with various retraction settings.Bridging Tests: Structures that assess bridging capabilities across different filament types.Overhang Tests: Challenges that test overhang performance at different angles.Customizable Options:

Allow users to adjust parameters like layer height, print speed, and infill density before generating the print files.Guidance and Tips:

Include brief descriptions and best practices for each test, helping users understand what to look for in the results.

The currently open feature request for that is at https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/6168

All requests and bug reports need to be made at the Prusa Slicer github, after first searching both Open and Closed issues with as many keywords as possible to make sure one doesn't already exist of course.
