Prusa Slicer question
Just curious if anyone else experiences this same behaviour. When hovering the mouse cursor over menu items in the Slicer software, a tool tip comes up but is always partly covered by the cursor. I realize I may have a larger than usual cursor, but the tool tip should be well separated from the cursor. Not a big deal, but seems like an easy fix in the coding. I can't capture the cursor and tool tip in the screenshot so hopefully this makes sense. thx
RE: Prusa Slicer question
I have text set to 125% given my aging eyes but the tool tips are always next to the cursor but don't seem to overlap with my normal cursor settings. Just experimented with cursor size and I have to increase to size 3 to get a bit of overlap but it doesnt start to overlap the text until size 4.
Weirdly enough the overlap seems to get worse if the cursor style is changed to Inverted rather than plain white or black.
The thing you have to remember about the code is that it uses a cross platform display widget that supports Win/Mac/Linux so what you might thing would be something 'easy' to change is quite often not.
You could also open a bug report or a feature request on the PS github. However given that there's literally thousands of open issues currently (3.5 K+) some of which have been open for 5+ years the priority might not be too high.
RE: Prusa Slicer question
Thanks for the detailed answer and suggestions. Yes, I should know better than suggest this is an "easy" fix, many times has the phrase been uttered "what could possibly go wrong" 🙂 Didn't think it's worth reporting because I'm not sure it's a bug, that's why I was hoping posting here might be more useful.
Will play around with the MacOS settings and see if that makes a difference
RE: Prusa Slicer question
Just reduced the mouse pointer size and no more overlap, thanks for the suggestions
