Attached is a configuration ini file (zipped) that will allow to use the Prusa Slicer on the Raise3D Pro2 Plus. It is set up for left extruder only use. (Working on a config file for dual extrusion). It works for the SuperSlicer also.  Should work on Pro2 also, just need to change the print hight value.  Any feedback greatly appreciated.

I would try it, but I don't see anything attached.  Maybe I'm missing something. I'm new to Prusa.

Hello,

I confirm that I cannot find the file as well. Did you find it?
@Rmeiter Can you send it back to us?

I am very interested in this profile. I use PrusaSLicer on my MMU2S at home but at work we have a Raise3D, however I find the Ideamaker software very unintuitive and complicated

I agree that Ideamaker is overly complex, it also does not have a lot of the features we are used to having in PrusaSlicer and SuperSlicer.  We have 4 x Mk3S and have had a lot of success with them.  However, we just purchased a Raise3D Pro3 as needed a larger build platform and dual extrusion, ...but IdeaMaker is just sooooo difficult to use!

So +1, we would love someone to develop a printer profile for the Raise3D Pro3.  Anyone already done this, or prepared to help us sort one out?

Cheers, Dr Craig M

I have a Raise3D E2 inbound and yes that is some messy software. If there's every a way to run the E2 with Prusa Slicer I'd love to use it! Need to print with both heads though.

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response. I will try to get the config.ini files for single and dual head printing together and post them hopefully by tomorrow evening. Have been playing with some settings. Hard to find some time between work.

Hi @rmeister, I don't think you attached any files for us to try out.  I'm not seeing anything that looks like a media link I see on other forum posts.

Guys, the developers generally hang out at the Prusa Slicer Git Hub Pages.

If you can raise a Pull Request over there, you may get a faster response.

however if you can get a copy of a good prusa slicer profile for the Raise 3 Pro, and pass it to the Devs, they are more likely to be able to add it to the configuration wizard for others to benefit from.
As it's unlikely that Prusa have a Raise 3 Pro to test

How do I "raise a Pull Request" ?

I believe that the non-Prusa profiles in Prusaslicer are supplied by users. Hard to believe that Prusa would spend time and money to create profiles for their competitors printers.

I agree @towlerg, Prusa isn't going to work on that for their competitors for their free software. I'm don't know anything about GCode but I just started to compare the various settings in PrusaSlicer and what I have in Ideamaker for my Pro2. Along with comparing what setting that I have on my PrusaMini with hopes that some of those things will compute to my Pro2. Biggest one I see is, I can't tell how Prusa vs Ideamaker handles the nozzle switch. With the Pro2 raising and lowering the different nozzles.

I'll see what I get between different prints. I only have the 2 prints and can't stop all the different printing fun trying to configure and test.

RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer

I'm not trying to highjack @rmeister thread, but they seem to have gone missing. I have made an attempt at this today and have had a few small 30min prints. Cubes and such.

Here are my release notes.

Last Release 2022.02.18Caution::Use at your own risk. I expanded the print size beyond what Raise3D says the Pro2 fits from my own testing on my machine. I have not tested a full bed print to confirm using PrusaSlicer. So far just minor test prints verifying minor setting to both the attached print settings and filament settings. These will need to be calibrated to your machines and filaments.

v1 - Single Left Extruder

I attempted to port over settings I used in ideaMaker for my Raise3D Pro2Currently on configured for the left extruder.

Platter overlay has anticipated safe zones for the left and right extruders. Each square is 305x305mm.Testing my bed with different sizes in ideaMaker I came to the conclusion that the full bed appears to have an operational size of 330mm x 327.50mm

Outside of the safe zone is an extra 5mm of space for brim, skirt and raft material. That way you can eye up location of parts and still add these without having to rearrange. On top of that there is an additional 2.5mm of play because I use a magnetic WamBam plate and don't always get it perfectly back on. The safe zones are also 13.75mm from Y0 to allow that 5mm of gap between the print and purge lines in the start up Gcode.

Custom Gcode:Starting Gcode Starts to heat bed to 100% and left nozzle to 80% initially. Waits for left nozzle and then begins the homing sequence. Proceeds to wait for temperatures to hit first layer values before printing a 75mm purge line at X5 Y5

Set Pause to M2000. According to the internet that is the correct value for Raise3D printers. This is untested.
