RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
If you tried to just upload an .ini file it doesn't accept it. I figured out I could zip file one and do that.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
@rmeister your printer code works fine for me. I've added some of your differences from your profile to mine and am running tests again.
I was able to get 305 for each of my nozzles with a little extra room for a 5mm brim and 1 skirt loop 2mm away, but it is literally edge to edge on my WamBam plate.
I tired doing an 'auto color change', but it upon restarting it appears I loose the whole layer or it prints off to the side. I think its a PrusaSlicer problem. M2000 in general works, but here is what I tried.
G1 E-5 Z+5 X5 Y25 F300
G1 E-100 F300
G92 E0
M2000
I plan to upload my modified profile in the next few days if the little tweaks I'm doing work to my satisfaction.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Okay, I was wrong, I just tried to print a full 305x305 object. with brim and it didn't come out right. Back to to testing bed size.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Okay after more playing 305 is the whole space for each nozzle, with brim and everything else. I updated my code for this and plate texture for the visual. Until I figure out a way to be able to pull extruder offsets manual the start gcode might get slightly off to everyones individual extruder offsets.
I also hope to get a color change sequence eventually figured out that doesn't seem to either delete a layer or mess with the offsets for 1 single layer, but I give up on Prusa Slicer 2.4.0, might try again on the next official build of the slicer.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hi Everyone, just circling back to this topic and hoping there is maybe some changes. I'm running a Print Farm with 5 X Prusa Mk3S+ and 1 Raise3D Pro3. I prefer Prusaslicer, hands down. Anyone know of a fully compatible profile for the Pro3?
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
In general, No. Rmeister and I have provided our profiles that we worked on for this thread which was for the Raise Pro2. We used our machine print areas. I would think you should just need to update that along with maybe some G code for your start up and cool down sequences. You will have to figure out all of your filament settings as well.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hello!
I've been using PrusaSlicer (2.3.3, I think) at home for my Ender 5 Pro with really nice, repeatable results with PETG. At work we have a Raise3D Pro2 that I think is printing considerably worse with their own PETG and their dedicated profiles. I also think ideaMaker has a complicated interface with regard to profiles.
How would I go about testing the profiles you (@izumi5188, @Rmeister) have attached for PrusaSlicer (latest) at work? I'm new in this forum and don't really know where to look. Could you maybe just point me to an instruction on how to add a downloaded printer profile in PrusaSlicer?
Best regards
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hi Vadforean,
You can download our printer profiles and import them. Our profiles basically give you the dimensions, and starting and ending gcode for the Pr02. You would need to tune PETG and any other filament to your printers as well.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Just wanted to thank those of you that contributed to this thread. I've got a Pro3 and am not enjoying ideamaker vs my time with my MK3 and PrusaSlicer. I'll take a look at what progress you've made and see if I can get it to work.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Anybody have a dual material profiles working for the Pro3 yet? Not sure what start/end code it shares with the Pro2.
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Good morning! So thank you very much for you guys providing these profiles - saved me a lot of work. Both the left only profile you, and the dual head profile that @izumi5188, have provided work great. Weirdly though I get this error message whenever I select or enter into the printer config page on PrusaSlicer (imported profiles into 2.4.2, but just updated to 2.5 and it's still happening). I can clear the message and still access the printer settings, slice, and print models using this config, but unfortunately, there is zero explanation of what input value it is taking issue with...

RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hello,
I'm running the HyperSpeed firmware on a Raise3D Pro2 Plus, that require new hardware settings on the dip switches on the stepper drivers. This means that old previously sliced g-code for the standard firmware will not work anymore.
Anyone modified their Prusa Slicer printer definitions to use the new firmware? The new firmware is built on Klipper, with (rudimentary) input shaping, making corners and ringing come out better than before at the same speed. So, it's worth it.
@izumi5188, @rmeister etc, I would be really grateful for updated printer definitions!
Thanks /Peter
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hi again,
Some new info:
IdeaMaker in HyperSpeed mode writes this as the very first entry in the gcode file, and omits it when in normal mode:
M99123 /RKIIyAfrgVn63QgWjcMv3w/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD/RKIIyAfrgVn63QgWjcMv3w/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6M/RKIIyAfrgVn63QgWjcMv3w/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6M/RKIIyAfrgVn63QgWjcMv3w/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0IpD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0IpD0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ip0Ipw/VGrHawCYdCJaNwKoDQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw/DQafsD84EnC8915R6MD0Ipw
Anyone got a grip on how HyperSpeed works on the gcode level? I'd appreciate some pointers.
/P
RE: Prusa Slicer Profile for Raise3D Pro2 dual head printer
Hello everyone,
I recently utilized Izumi's profile on my Raise3D Pro2 printer. However, I encountered an issue I hope someone can assist me with. When using the Prusa Slicer, it estimated a printing time of 12 hours for a particular project. Yet, when I loaded the same Gcode file onto the Pro2 printer, it indicated a staggering 121-hour print time.
Initially, the first layer printed beautifully, but subsequent layers were problematic. The printer was very slow during the second layer, approximately ten times slower than usual, correlating with the extended printing time displayed. Despite this reduced speed, it seems that the same amount of material was extruded during this slow printing phase. Consequently, the material from the second layer failed to adhere properly to the first layer, resulting in what can be described as loose strings connecting at the endpoints.
My idea is that there may be a discrepancy in the unit of speed used between the slicer and the printer. While the slicer calculates speed in cm/s, the printer interprets the same value in mm/s. This could potentially explain the significant disparity in printing time between the two. However, this is just a wild guess.
I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered similar issues or if there are alternative explanations and solutions to this problem.
Thank you, Henning
